Police closed a busy road following an incident in Failsworth.
Officers are currently at the scene on Ashton Road West and the area has been cordoned off.
Transport for Greater Manchester says the closure is due to an “ongoing police incident”.

The road is sealed between Partington Street and Clive Road.
Police have yet to confirm the nature of the incident.
Drivers are asked to stay clear of the area.
In a Twitter post, a spokesperson for Transport for Greater Manchester said: “Ashton Road West, Failsworth.
“Road closure due to an ongoing police incident, avoid the area if possible.
“Stagecoach GM and GNW Bus services may be diverted or delayed, please check before traveling.”
Traffic is currently slow in the surrounding area due to the closure, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system.
Bus services are currently affected by the closure.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach wrote on Twitter: “76 [service].
“Due to a police incident on Ashton Road West, Failsworth, services have diverted via Brierley Ave in both directions until further notice.”
Greater Manchester Police have been approached for comment.
