Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT) has expanded its customer portfolio. Eurowings, the German airline, which started operations from its base at Václav Havel Airport in Prague last November, now uses CSAT line maintenance services for its Prague-based Airbus A320ceo and A320neo. Another carrier, Bees Airline, which has been operating its flights between Prague and Ukraine since October 2021, has ordered CSAT on-call line maintenance services for the airline’s Boeing 737-800.
“We are very happy that Eurowings trust our experienced employees and that they have chosen Czech Airlines Technics to become their line maintenance provider. The new long-term agreement with Eurowings covers the line maintenance checks of three A320 families based at Prague airport and other non-based aircraft according to operational needs. The services provided include a variety of tasks, from daily and weekly inspections to one-time hangar repairs or towing aircraft. We are satisfied with the highly professional approach of Eurowings and look forward to an interesting cooperation, ”commented Pavel Haleš, Chairman of the Board of Czech Airlines Technics, about the needs of the new customer.
“Czech Airlines Technics facilitated the launch of operations from our base at Prague Airport. During our negotiations, we met a dedicated, competent team who listened to the customer. We therefore look forward to a beneficial cooperation, ”said Holger Beck, Eurowings Vice-President for Technical Fleet Management.
Regarding a new contract with the Ukrainian airline Bees Airline, the object of the agreement is the provision of ad hoc line maintenance services, i.e. on-call maintenance. The services provided by the CSAT team at Prague Airport include assistance and possible repairs before scheduled flights. Bees Airline has been serving Prague since October 2021, operating the Odessa and Lviv routes using B787-800 aircraft. Czech Airlines Technics also provides similar services to EasyJet, KLM, Iberia, Aeroflot, Turkish Airlines, FlyDubai and others. Last year, the company performed 312 on-call supports.
Czech Airlines Technics, a subsidiary of the Prague Airport Group, mainly focuses on the repair and maintenance of aircraft and aeronautical equipment within the scope of base maintenance, line maintenance, maintenance landing gear components, engineering and maintenance.
