PHOTOS show emergency services working together to rescue an injured person from scaffolding.
Fire and paramedics were called to a house in Greenoaks, Lancing, at 12.46pm today to report an injured person.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue and South East Coast Ambulance crews rescued the person using a large aerial ladder before being treated by paramedics on the ground.
Two fire engines and the technical rescue unit of the service went to the scene.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 12.46pm today, Monday January 31, to reports of an injured person on scaffolding around a property in Greenoaks, Lancing.
“Joint Fire Control mobilized two fire engines, the department’s Technical Rescue Unit and aerial ladder platform to the scene.
“Upon arrival, firefighters worked alongside paramedics from the Southeast Coast Ambulance Service to rescue the victim using the aerial ladder platform, lowering them to ground level to receive additional care from paramedics.”
