Interruption of train services this weekend while maintenance is underway

Rail services on a number of routes will be significantly disrupted this weekend as planned engineering work gets underway.

Roads affected include Portarlington and Limerick Junction, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Portlaoise as well as Dart services on the south side.

Commuters are also warned that there will be no darts in operation between Greystones and Dun Laoghaire on Saturday and Sunday.

A two-hourly service will operate between Cork and Dublin, with connections to Kerry and Limerick over the weekend.

For services to Rosslare, a bus will run between Connelly station and Wicklow.

Head of corporate communications with Iarnród Éireann Barry Kenny advises commuters to check timetables before travelling.

“On other lines, on intercity routes from Heuston to Cork, Kerry and Limerick, we have a revised timetable of approximately two hours between Hesuton and Cork each direction on Saturday.

“On Saturday and Sunday customers should check the timetables for these routes before traveling on”
